of Bride's and Modern Bride. EBay magazine to try again? July 24, 2003 - No one's talking but the buzz is that eBay, the aution website, is thinking of launching an eBay magazine again. The first incarnation was first published by Krause Publications in 1999 under a licensing relationship with eBay. The publication ceased in 2000. A spokesperson for Readers Digest Association would not confirm or deny reports that it was the new publisher and said, "We're always looking at new business opportunities and new publications." The new magazine is called Stuff Gamer and promises content for both the hardcore and recreational gamer. Simon Munk, Stuff's game writer, will be the editor-in-chief, and says that "The huge video game industry has outgrown the basement and mall arcades. It's high time for a magazine that doesn't just appeal to the hardcore, but to the vast majority of regular guys who're recreational gamers too." The editor, Michael Wollaeger, spent 16 years at Architectural Digest, eventually becoming executive editor. In an interview with Albuquerque Journal, Wollaeger said: "Western Interiors is more open and fresh, much less stuffy. It's more about design and architecture of the West than about celebrities and money. But it has the same production values, great paper and great printing." Radio company tests free music magazine July 2, 2003 - Giant radio company Clear Channel of San Antonio, TX will be distributing a free music magazine twice this summer and more issues in the fall, if the test goes well. The distribution will be mainly at concerts, from the company's radio stations and will reach over 30 markets. Clear Channel will print 1.5 to 2 million copies af the publication. The company launched a sports magazine in several markets throughout the country about 18 months ago.
