Teen Vogue emphasizes fashion and serious issues September 25, 2000 - Fashion, fashion, fashion. That's what Teen Vogue is all about, with some added articles about serious issues such as smoking and peer pressure. Fashion coverage needs to be geared to moderately priced items to fit a teenager's budget. Another difference is that articles need to be written with a great deal of seriousness and authority. The title, edited by Amy Astley and overseen by editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, is also making sure that content is accessible to teenagers everywhere in the United States, not just New York, Los Angeles and Chicago. The premier issue can be found on newsstands and was also mailed to all current Vogue subscribers with teenage girls, a total of 12 million copies in all. |
