My Generation to target antsy baby boomers September 25, 2000 - My Generation's editor Betsy Carter is a 50-something-year-old who will oversee the title's content targeting 50- to 55-year-old baby boomers who just can't seem to sit still. My Generation's mission will be to help this age bracket figure out how to live a fuller life with the time they have ahead of them. It will be a "lifestyle guide" and address "practical and emotional necessities" noted Ms. Carter. Content will swing from short information takes to thoughtful essays and some longer stories. The prototype features 51-year-old Bruce Springsteen on the cover with articles that discuss bouncing back from being fired, the effects of loud rock music on your hearing and 100 ways to start being a volunteer. The launch will include 3.1 million copies to AARP members in the targeted age bracket and will also be available on newsstands. Learn more about a wide variety of magazines using our database. |
