Writers beware: Details launches another "first" issue

September 20, 2000 - Good grief. Details has just launched its fourth "first issue" in 18 years. Now the target is 25- to 35-year-old men who are affluent, educated and plugged-in and want to be up-to-date on men's fashion along with business, science, architecture, politics and great personalities.

The title is no longer a "magazine with training wheels for men, " meaning it doesn't want to show its readers how to tie a tie.

Currently owned by Fairchild Publications, Details is scheduled to be published 10 times a year with a new oversized and glossy look. Daniel Peres, the editor-in-chief chosen for the relaunch, is a Fairchild veteran and former Paris editor of W magazine. Check our database for the latest in magazine information.
