Four teen titles change their beat
Teen Beat and Tiger Beat are moving to quarterly frequency, from monthly, while 16 remains quarterly and executives reevaluate the mission of Bop, a monthly and the least successful of the group. The new publishing schedule is set to begin in the first quarter of 2002. A Primedia spokesman added that some of Tiger Beat's and the other magazines' celebrity fixation will be folded into Teen to better distinguish the magazine from Seventeen, the industry leader in the category, which has been part of the company for 10 years. |
