New computer title for teachers has launched

October 24, 2001 - Teachers in kindergarten through sixth grade now have a magazine to help them introduce the world of computing to their students. The first issue of PC Teach It Magazine premiered in August and the next is due out in November, closely following the academic calendar.

Linda Dennis, editor-in-chief, noted that 96 percent of schools in the U.S. were equipped with computers and were Internet ready. "Today, however, there are many teachers who don't feel comfortable or simply don't know how to merge computers into day-to-day class work."

The magazine employs writers from a variety of backgrounds but also has actual teachers talking about teaching techniques that have been successful in their own classroom.

PC Teach It Magazine is a sister publication to PC Create It, a publication for photo and computer crafting. The title is published by Greenville, SC-based Reedy River Press, Inc. who can be reached at (864) 286-0540 or visit www.pcteachit.com.
