Family Building new title about infertility

October 15, 2001 - RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association launched a new title, Family Building during 12th Annual National Infertility Awareness Week, October 7-14, 2001. The title will be covering topics ranging from infertility, medical treatments and adoption to child-free living.

The first issue's cover story explores the benefits of pets for people experiencing infertility. Other featured articles are on the controversial topic of immunotherapy which focuses on abnormalities in the immune system associated with miscarriage and IVF failures, and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), a common hormone disorder which is a leading cause of infertility and one of the most undiagnosed diseases in the U.S.

Each issue of Family Building will include a review of current medical options, adoption, advocacy and legal issues, a discussion of ways to heal the body, mind and spirit during treatment, a perspective on male infertility and information on coping after infertility and the decision to live child-free.
