Fuse to offer business/lifestyle content with lots of photos

October 18, 2000 - Creative writer/photographers who can depict leading edge business practices in words and pictures might have a chance pitching to fuse's editor-in-chief Lisa Gabor.

"fuse looks at people who find ways to make their work exciting, people who think for themselves," said Ms. Gabor. "After all, style begins with the way you think, the way you conduct yourself, the way you relate to others."

The target audience is a broad range of business people who care about singular style, meaning they have money. "What good is building an empire if you can't find a way to enjoy it," noted Ms. Gabor. "If it doesn't entertain you or satisfy you?"

Subject matter includes careers, management, image, architecture, travel and fashion. Six issues are slated for the coming year, the first three to be bundled with Business 2.0, published by the same owner, Imagine Media's Business Division. Then the title will be a stand-alone with a circulation of 125,000.
