American Profile surpasses expectations and still interested in writer's queries

October 30, 2000 - What are you waiting for? It's not often that a publication launched in April surpasses a circulation of two million. And that's with only three out of five planned regions currently covered: Southeast, Midwest and Northwest.

Also, production is moving from bi-weekly to weekly publication. Still to appear are the Central and West editions.

As we reported back in May, Peter Fossel (pfossel@americanprofile.com), the executive editor, is very enthusiastic about hearing from freelance writers who have a feel for regional issues and stories. 50 percent of American Profile's content is geared towards regional stories with the editorial focus on small-town life and hometown roots with emphasis on lifestyles and "good news" types of articles.

The title originally appeared in 250 small community newspapers, which now numbers at 450. By 2003, the magazine is projected to have a paid circulation of 10 million.

The title's hot, still growing, and interested in your ideas. Go for it! Check our database for useful information.
