Star Wars Gamer boldly seeks queries and submissions

November 8, 2000 - A new bimonthly title, Star Wars Gamer, is launching in January and covers anything about the Star Wars gaming universe, including game and product reviews as well as fiction stories. The premier issue is already online for viewing.

Editor-in-chief Chris Perkins, in an "interview" with publisher Wizards of the Coast, declared, "Our goal is to create an indispensable resource for the Star Wars gamer and fan. We are also interested in exploring corners of the Star Wars universe that no one has seen before."

Mr. Perkins noted that the staff doesn't assign specific article ideas to freelance writers, but prefers to "work with writers on topics that they want to write about, rather than what we want them to write about."

"Mostly, I do the words part of the magazine," said Mr. Perkins. "That means I'm responsible for looking at submissions, communicating with freelance authors, and editing and revising text once we get it in."
