Writers in teen market need to recheck Teen's content focus

March 5, 2001 - Teen, a magazine fighting for its share of teen readers, is moving away from what many consider a tried and true formula of relationship advice, embarrassing stories and does-he-like-me quizzes.

In order to differentiate itself, the title will focus exclusively on wrapping style, celebrities and shopping together as often as possible. Also planned is a 20 percent boost in edit pages.

Published by Emap USA, the magazine's new format debuts in August. Check our database for information on over 2,000 other publications.
