The New York Times Magazine adds new style specials

March 7, 2001 - The New York Times Magazine will debut the first of four style specials devoted to fashion, entertainment, beauty, architecture, food and home design, starting March 11. These "magazines within The Magazine" will average 20 pages.

Editor Amy Spindler, the publication's style editor, noted "style, the way we dress, the way we entertain, and the way we enjoy ourselves, is a huge part of how we live."

March 11: Editors Choice - the best of the spring/summer season (fashion, architecture, style/entertaining)

May 20: Structures - revealing new forms taking shape, from architectural feats to dress construction to culinary spectacles

June 10: Weekend - how to take time off with flair, featuring stunning second homes, the latest in weekend wear and stylish ways to rest, relax and rejuvenate

September 30: Editors Choice - fall/winter styles
