Computer Titles Sold by Ziff-Davis Publishing

April 15, 2000 - Ziff-Davis Inc. has sold Ziff-Davis Publishing to Willis Stein & Partners. Smart Business, PC Magazine and Yahoo! Internet Life are part of the new owner's consumer magazine group under the direction of Jim Spanfeller while Interactive Week, PC Week (renamed eWeek as of May 8, 2000) and Smart Reseller fall into the newly formed business magazine group headed by Al Perlman.

ZDNet will retain the right to use Ziff-Davis Publishing content online for a period of five years in return for a royalty.

Ziff-Davis Development, a newly formed subsidiary of Ziff-Davis Media, holding company of Ziff-Davis Publishing, will explore creating new magazines for the technology and consumer marketplaces.

New Internet sites with fresh content will be developed for Ziff-Davis Internet Inc. the second subsidiary being formed under Ziff-Davis Media.
