Real
Simple looks to fine-tune editorial content
April 19, 2000 - Real Simple's premier issue contained editorial
content that bordered on disappointing, as indicated by reader responses.
Billed as "the magazine for a simpler life, home, body, soul - beautiful,
inspirational solutions for every aspect of your life," publisher
Andy Sareyan noted that editorial depth consistency was not apparent,
but felt that the right balance would be found.
Content is aimed
broadly at women seeking to simplify their hectic lives, but the fact
is in different economic sectors, different advice is appropriate. For
instance, cleaning tips are not necessarily useful for women who employ
domestic help.
