National Enquirer, Star and Globe All One Big Happy Tabloid Family

April 15, 2000 - American Media Inc.'s newly formed Newspaper Division will publish the National Enquirer, Star, Globe and National Examiner.

Weekly World News, Sun, Country Weekly, Mira! and AMI's AutoWorld Weekly will be part of the Consumer Magazine Division under the guidance of new editorial director Stephen Coz, former Editor-in-Chief at the National Enquirer.

Editorial operations will consolidate in Boca Raton, Florida.

The restructuring effort is part of a campaign to stimulate company growth, improve individual publications and hopefully reverse an overall tabloid circulation decline.
