IQ the newest magazine to provide both business and lifestyle content

June 14, 2000 - IQ, short for Internet Quotient, is targeted at business executives who are making decisions about technology but aren't necessarily comfortable or up-to-speed on the subject. The title's tagline, "The fastest way to increase your Internet quotient," reflects the title's commitment to stripping the tech-speak to help acclimate people who may too intimidated by "total tech" titles.

Writers who are looking to break into business magazines in general might find the Internet success stories and lifestyle articles a good bet. Writers with a technology background should look in to the "how to" advice sections that cover the basics of getting business operations on board with the Internet.

IQ will be published by Cisco Systems Inc. in cooperation with Hachette Filipacchi Magazines under the guidance of editor-in-chief Heather Alter. The general e-mail box is iq-editorial@cisco.com. Circulation should reach 100,000.
