Sports Afield reclaims loyal hunting and fishing audience

July 19, 2000 - Sports Afield, the 113-year-old guide for hunters and fisherman, is repenting its camping, canoeing and snowboarding coverage. "That's not our audience's main concern," noted Chris Dorsey, the new editor-in-chief.

Readers want all the latest hunting and fishing news. The other subjects, dubbed Generation X coverage, will be decreased to appease the 92 percent of readers, who in a survey, protested the new material.

The magazine, purchased by Robert Peterson from Hearst, has a ratebase of 460,000. Our database has good contact and guideline information.
