Primedia reorganizes consumer and enthusiast magazine divisions; 50 jobs go overboard

July 10, 2000 - In a move designed to consolidate support services for Primedia's consumer and special interest magazines, the publisher has integrated Primedia Consumer Magazines with Primedia Special Interest Publications.

The new company is Primedia Consumer Magazine & Internet Group, which will be divided into two "units," enthusiast and broad reach, but operate with 50 less support personnel overall.

Primedia's media contact, Eileen Murphy, reported that "all editorial addresses will remain the same."
