January 14, 2002 - VentureReporter, a new bi-monthly title that recently debuted on newsstands, has replaced the now defunct Silicon Alley Reporter. Commerce, content, life sciences, optics and security are several of the sectors covered in the national funding news focus.

Profiles of venture capitalists and venture-backed companies will also be featured. The title, edited by Jason Calacanis, is published by New York City-based Rising Tide Studios and is expected to have a circulation of 50,000.
