Another newsweekly to launch? January 15, 2001 - Look out Time, Newsweek and U.S. News, here comes . . . The Week, a new title being planned by Dennis Publishing, a U.K. publisher that continues to make waves in the U.S. Although The Week is a working title only, the planned launch date is April. The magazine reportedly will not use original content however, but will instead feature a weekly rundown of the best reporting by America's newspapers and magazines. Still, any writer with the same amount of moxie as the publisher, might find a niche in this new venue by contacting editor-in-chief William B. Falk. No specific contact information was immediately available. Initial circulation of the magazine will be 150,000. The title is already published in England. |
