Blender new music title to stick to . . . music

January 10, 2001 - Andy Pemberton, editor-in-chief of the new music title Blender, wants to feature serious, fun, celebratory and irreverent content for the pure music magazine. Genres range form rock to hip-hop to rhythm and blues.

The initial launch, scheduled for late April or early May, will be either bimonthly or quarterly (reports are conflicting at this time), with a circulation of 400,000. The goal is to ramp up to a monthly as soon as possible.

Blender's launch might be followed by another new music title from Emap USA, and rumor has it that MTV is considering something similar.

The title will be published by Dennis Publishing Inc., a U.K.-based company. No contact information was readily available. Check our database for useful information on a wide variety of publications.
