Movie magazine Premiere shifts content focus

February 14, 2001 - The big news at Premiere is the shift of editorial content, from "what's coming out next Tuesday," to a focus on the culture and subculture of movies. The monthly title, under the direction of new editor-in-chief Michael Solomon, will see a 30 percent increase in editorial pages, including the addition of a new six-to-eight-page front section, titled Action, that will feature news bits and humorous views.

Beginning with the April issue, party coverage will also be expanded and the Town Without Pity department will be renamed Players, focusing on Hollywood's captains of industry.

Irreverence is still the tone Mr. Solomon is looking for, but he stresses that content must still seem to be sophisticated. Check our database for contact and guideline details, also available on over 2,000 other currently published magazines.
