The Rake new title in the planning stages

November 28, 2001 - A new free monthly glossy is being planned for debut in March by Tom Bartel and his wife Kris Henning. Writers will be local (Minneapolis) and national according to Mr. Bartel.

Content focus for the city magazine will include arts, music, humor and some investigative reporting. Mr. Bartel described it as falling half-way between the humor magazine Onion and the New Yorker.

Heading up the editorial team is Hans Eisenbeis as editor, formerly a senior editor at Spin Magazine.
