Savoy to definitely launch

December 18, 2000 - Savoy, a new title covering the African-American lifestyle, will launch in January to a circulation base of 200,000.

Editor-in-chief Roy S. Johnson describes the title's content as "a great dinner party." Politics, business, wind, food and fashion will be covered in this 10-issues-per-year title, aimed at readers 25- to 54-years-old.

"We want to create that [dinner party] atmosphere and cause readers to have that feeling of enjoyment with friends," noted Mr. Johnson.
