Another teen girl title for writers savvy in this market December 6, 2000 - Teenage girls 12- through 17-years-old are the target audience for Elle Girl, set to debut next August in a one-time, back-to-school issue. If all goes well, 2002 will see four quarterly issues. Publisher Hachette Filipacchi Magazines plans a launch to an initial ratebase of 300,000, with content under the guidance of newly appointed editor-in-chief, Ms. Brandon Holley. The title is reportedly focusing mostly on fashion in an effort to separate it from the nearly saturated teen girl market, including YM, Seventeen, Teen, Teen People, Cosmogirl, Teen Vogue and Entertainmenteen.
