Wired reformulates editorial content
"Start" will offer news analysis of people and technology, and will reinstate the old "Wired/Tired," while adding a new category, "Expired." "Play" is about culture, with coverage on games, music, movies and other social aspects as well as featuring "Fetish," an obsessive look at a techno-gadget. "View" will include opinions, ideas, and provocations, including a column by editor-in-chief Chris Anderson and a running feature of technologists covering which predications will stand the test of time. The sections that run in the front and back of the magazine, including Electric Word, Fetish, Must Read, Infoporn, Street Cred and Best, will either get the axe or a major overhaul, but details are not yet clear. Wired remains based in San Francisco, with an average circulation at 515,000. |
