County Families new Michigan parenting title seeking submissions

April 24, 2002 - County Families, set to debut in August, is actively seeking freelance submissions. The regional parenting title will cover positive parenting subjects that help, inform, educate and entertain area readers from a local resource perspective but universal parenting angle.

While local area writers are preferred, national writers are welcome to query as well with sidebar or additional idea information. An example is a universal topic with the suggestion of a sidebar for local focus.

Departments will include Laugh Lines, Parent Talk, Traveling To ., Family Funds, Noteworthy News, and Teen Scene. A full set of writer's guidelines is posted on the magazine's website, although you should know that they do not cover expenses or offer a kill fee.
