Silicon Valley to get its own magazine October 26, 2004 - The northern California area dubbed Silicon Valley may be a state of mind more than a geographical area, but there is still a new magazine for its residents, businesses and visitors. To make it different from other local magazines, the publisher promises to "illustrate the tremendous impact that our region has on the nation and the world." Founer, publisher and editor Keki Mingus of VIOLET magazine will try to appeal to mothers, fathers and families of all kinds - gay, straight and multi-racial with a mix of fashion, music, film and lifestyle stories. The magazine is available in book stores across the country. The newsstand price is $4.95. REAL SIMPLE has several new staffers: Elizabeth Graves is a senior editor; Alexis Givens is an associate editor in the home department; Maria Schollenbarger is a senior editor; Jon Barrett is a senior editor; Sarah Humphreys is a special projects editor.
