29, 2004 - TUX, a new magazine from the publishers of LINUX MAGAZINE,
is a spin-off of editor-in-chief Marcel Gagne's "Cooking with Linux" column
in the parent magazine. Marcel is planning a friendly, jargon-free
style, non-threatening to average computer users. The magazine should
be useful for home, office, and enterprise users, including knowledge

29, 2004 - Scientific American MIND, a new magazine that explores the
fascinating and often mysterious workings of the brain, thoughts and feelings,
recently debuted. The magazine is launching as a quarterly, but
plans to increase to a bimonthly in 2006. It's primary distribution
is the newsstand and initial circulation is 120,000. Mariette DiChristina

29, 2004 - THE DELI, a new magazine focused on the New York City music
scene, will launch on December 2nd. It will focus on the underground
rock, pop and folk bands that play in the cityís bars, clubs and concerts,
and the studios, producers, promoters, equipment retailers and manufacturers
who help bring the NYC indie sound to the wider public. The magazine
will be made available free of charge at music-oriented locations across
the city. Founder and editor-in-chief is Paolo De Gregorio and their

11, 2004 - This is an online publication that's going print in the early
spring of 2005. SPORTING WOMAN QUARTERLY will feature highlights
of women's luxury sporting events, including polo and equestrian events,
golf and tennis. Seasonal selections for sport and fitness resorts,
travel, dining and accomodations will also be showcased in the quarterly
among its behind-the-scenes interviews and sports features. It will
launch with an initial rate base of 400,000. The editor-in-chief
is not yet announced but the website is at http://www.sportingwomanquarterly.com. November
1, 2004 - The new quarterly PLAINS FAITH launched in September with 7,500
issues, of which 5,000 were mailed to random Amarillo area addresses.
According to publisher and editor Debra Wells, the purpose of the magazine
is "to promote a better understanding of God in an effort to encourage
all people to consider him and desire to know him better." The magazine

High Plains region covers Southwestern Kansas, the Oklahoma Panhandle,

1, 2004 - MY HOUSE IN THE MOUNTAIN STATES is the first in a series of
shelter magazines planned by McGraw-Hill. The series will
consist of regional magazines serving both high-end homeowners and the
design and building professionals, who "bring their dreams to life.
"The magazines aim to bridge the "shelter" and "builder" media categories
by serving all of the important decision-makers in a homebuilding or renovation
project: the homeowner, the architect, the homebuilder and the interior
designer. MY HOUSE in the Mountain States will debut in Colorado, Utah,
