New lifestyle pub aims to paint Dallas red

March 2, 2005 - RED magazine is a new lifestyle publication that will strive to engage Dallas'  "social professionals" to "continue their quest for an abundant and enriching lifestyle."  The magazine's mission is to provide its readers with a "lifestyle compass" to explore the city's dining, entertainment, arts and culture, and philanthropy.  It is published by PrimeDemographics, Inc., a Dallas-based lifestyle marketing communications agency.  Their website is at http://www.redmagonline.com.

Fairchild targets upscale parents

March 1, 2005 - A new lifestyle magazine for upscale parents is in the works at Fairchild Publications, home of VOGUE and GOURMET.  To be launched in November, the bimonthly publication—working name COOKIE —will be aimed at "sophisticated" mothers ages 25 to 45.  Pilar Guzman is editor-in-chief.  The initial rate base will be 300,000, and cover price $3.50.  We have much more magazine news in our free News Alert newsletter.  Sign up at left.
