BusinessWeek SmallBiz is the new name for BusinessWeek's monthly insert, Frontier, published by The McGraw-Hill Companies (April issue) Smart Business: Technology at Work is the new title for Smart Business: For the New Economy, published by Ziff Davis (May issue) Communications Convergence is the new name for Computer Telephony, published by CMP (June issue) Transform magazine is the new title for Imaging & Document Solutions, published by CMP (April issue) New women's title to launch in UK March 26, 2001 - On April 3, a new women's title, Real, will debut in the UK. The magazine, edited by Janice Turner, will be published every two weeks. The target audience is 25- to 45-year-old women and will launch with 900,000 copies. Reportedly, Real will be modeled after German magazine Brigitta, and be "stylish, contemporary, sophisticated, but will also be thought provoking, innovative, informative and witty with a healthy dose of realism," noted publisher H Bauer's publishing director Louise Newton. (March 28) Four Four Two, a British football magazine, has named a new editor, Mat Snow, formerly editor at Mojo. Mr. Snow replaces Michael Hann. (March 28) Cosmopolitan Bride is the new name for National Magazine Company's Bride & Groom. The title will be published as a spin-off from Cosmopolitan rather than as a standalone magazine. A new editor will be announced shortly. The National Magazine Company is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Hearst Corporation and is based in the UK. (March 28) Newsweek has named a new executive editor, Dorothy Kalins, formerly editor-in-chief of Garden Design and Saveur.
